My Background:
Kim was born and raised in a small town in south Georgia, then moved to Atlanta after college where she lived for 20 years. She relocated to Florida in 1997 living on Amelia Island, a beautiful island in northeast Florida near Jacksonville. Kim has been married for 15 years to her husband, Eric, and their family consists of two West Highland Terrier dogs, Shelby and Max, and two Himalayan cats, Kittae and Kahlua. Kim and Eric enjoy all the benefits of living on a beautiful island in Florida that include anchoring off Cumberland Island for a long weekend or cruising the Intracoastal, playing golf, taking long beach walks, and watching the moon rise over the Atlantic ocean.
Kim received her BBA in Accounting from Valdosta State University and her MBA in Accounting and Finance from Emory University in Atlanta. Kim is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Georgia. Having earned her MBA and CPA, Kim started out working in public accounting with Ernst and Young, one of the Big Four accounting firms, and has held various executive financial positions in a variety of industries, both public and privately held companies, and in entrepreneurial start-up to Fortune 500 environments.
Kim's initial exposure to the real estate industry was in buying and selling real estate for her personal residences and for investment. In 2002 after being in finance and accounting for over 20 years, Kim decided to do something different with her life - to help people achieve their dreams in making one of the largest investments most people ever make in their lives - buying their dream home.
Kim is a licensed REALTOR® in Florida. She made the decision to join forces with one of the areas most prominent and well-respected real estate firms, Century 21 on Amelia Island. Century 21 John T. Ferreira & Son is the oldest real estate and insurance firm on Amelia Island founded in 1919 by John T. Ferreira.
